Nina (Julia Kijowska) and Wojtek (Andrzej Konopka) are a mismatched couple who hope that having a child will save their failing marriage. They need a surrogate and come across Magda (Eliza Rycembel), a self-assured, independent lesbian woman. Nina soon starts to feel an intoxicating attraction to Magda, which complicates the potential surrogacy. Shot in beautiful soft-focus, Nina is an energetic and frank depiction of the twists and turns of romantic intimacy. The film netted awards at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Polish Film Festival, and Camerimage. Screening will be followed by a Q&A with Olga Chajdas.
