As Angola decolonises from Portuguese rule in 1975, a power struggle erupts between rival independence groups. Ryszard (Mirosław Haniszewski), a young foreign correspondent from the Polish Press Agency, travels to the front lines to illuminate the daily horrors and human stories behind the conflict. Based on the real-life experiences that acclaimed Polish journalist Ryszard Kapuściński documented in his book of the same name, Another Day of Life is a beautiful animation that reflects on the human cost of war reportage. After premiering out-of-competition at Cannes, the film netted awards at the European Film Festival, Biografilm Festival and San Sebastián International Film Festival, among others. Screening will be introduced by Victoria Brittain.
