Film director Janusz (Robert Więckiewicz) has a strained relationship with his older brother Andrzej (Olgierd Łukaszewicz), the creator of a cult comedy from the 1970s. When Andrzej becomes paralysed by a stroke, it’s up to Janusz and his wife (Bożena Stachura) to take care of the brother in need, in spite of their differences. Inspired by the director’s real relationship with his late brother, this bittersweet comedy blends dry wit with intimate humanism. A Cat with a Dog won two Golden Lions for Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor at the Polish Film Festival.
