On the advice of his psychotherapist, Adaś (Michał Koterski) returns to his childhood to explore the seven basic emotions and understand better how his upbringing has impacted his adult life. Through experiencing the absurd trials and tribulations of youth once again, Adaś shines a painful if irresistibly funny light on child-adult relationships. Described by one critic as a cross between House and Witold Gombrowicz, 7 Emotions is a new twist on director Marek Koterski’s recurring fictional hero Adaś Miauczyński. The film took home two awards at the Polish Film Festival, including the main competition Special Award.
